nihao!

Welcome all to my blog for China. Evidently I have not left yet, so I can't be 100% sure that I will be able to access this in China, but hopefully so!

Whilst not only knuckling down to study hard at Zhejiang University (Hanzhou), I will also be traipsing the countryside, starting with Hong Kong, where I will be volunteering for Crossroads Global Distribution and generally running wild with friend Georgia.

After a few days I'll make my way north to Hangzhou (under an hour on bullet train to the south-west of Shanghai), where I'll be staying at Zhejiang University, drinking tea, cheap beer, eating porkbuns (I presume) and attempting Mandarin.

Really, this is all that I have got planned so far, but you can be rest assured that in my month here I will make my way to Shanghai, possibly Beijing, and the Great Wall. And most importantly, the countryside.

Stay tuned! I leave in under 3 weeks time and will be sure to keep all updated!
